Meet Murphy (Lhas-aposo mix) rescued from an abusive and neglectful ‘home’ by my friend and husband 15 yrs ago.

He passed on Feb 17 (16 yrs old) after a brief and brave battle with cancer having sailed thro ear surgery 2 mons prior despite the discovery of the cancer (during his surgery).

He was my surrogate furfriend…doing long walks and visits to my place. He is the reason I adopted Tye.

Unfortunately Tye and Murphy never connected as I had hoped…each believed that I belonged to their pack and no chance of integrating the 2…both strong willed, alpha dogs that like (good) people more than their own kind.

I miss Murphy but everyday his spirit is close to me knowing Tye and he are very similar both in personality and quirky behaviors.

My Macey was a rescue whom I adopted 4 years ago from the Kitchener/Waterloo Humane Society. She has become an important part of our family and has helped me by just being. I adore her and am grateful to have her in my life.

I am thankful to all the devoted people that volunteer at the various rescues and to those that believe these lovely animals deserve to be part of a loving home.

Mayday follows a long list of jack Russell terriers that have been loved by us. He is brilliant, energetic, cuddly and loyal- just as a good jack should be. He is an ambassador for the breed and makes our family complete. Xoxo

We found Brooklyn as a pup with floppy ears which quickly became expressive satellites. She is the heart of our home, and always up for an adventure or a snuggle. Her canines are worn flat from fetch, and she will let you kiss them.

This is Dakota a pound dog my husband found running the streets of aurora Ontario late at night while he was snow plowing. He was determined to pick her up and take her to local pound to make sure her family was notified. He left his name and phone number and told them if no one claimed her he would take her. 20 days later they called and said she was his to adopt he picked her up in his big plow truck as she rode passenger for the rest of the evening and it was love. They have been connected at the hip ever since for sure a mans best friend is his dog! Meet Dakota

I’m not good with words but simply put.

Cal brought love, loyalty, intelligence, exuberance, and laughter.

This is my favourite photo of my big boy Thor, Thor is 7 years old. He’s my first and forever my special boy that will always hold a special place to my heart. He’s becoming a senior and I have to be mindful he isn’t going to be around forever. He’s gentle and loving and he’s a great big brother to a little guy.

Udon has been my constant companion for almost 15 years. Her gradual decline is so difficult but I’m trying to make the most of the time we have left together. She has been and remains

The. Best. Dog.

Meet #TeaganFlora shes now 2 years old and our little bundle of joy. She loves going for hikes with me and my Wife where she runs up and down the hills and trails. She usually gets asked if shes a golden retriever but shes actually a cocker spanial poodle mix (Cockapoo). She loves to fetch and has the cutest howl in the world.
